My name is Jakub Reiter

I was born in Szczecin.
In my childhood, because of my father's profession, I traveled a lot around the world.
After graduating from the Szczecin University of Technology, I lived in Warsaw for 8 years. After this time, I was able to return to my hometown. Currently, I live in Szczecin again. During my absence, a lot has changed in this city. Often for the better.

I love creating. I rarely draw, I only sculpt in mud, I write binary poems. I can also apply plaster on walls and ceilings. The effects can be unique, but rather underestimated.
Usually I find my fulfillment by creating software, sometimes also the hardware on which the software runs. As for the hardware, they are usually small computers with many cables. They are not universal devices like PCs. They are usually used to carry out a specific task.

Professionally, I am primarily an engineer. I like to solve problems.

Bike

I lived close to the Bukowa Forest for a long time. I like this place very much. Sometimes I go somewhere further - to another city, or even to the Bactic Sea. My one-day record is over 200 km - from Szczecin to Miedzywodzie and back. The bike in the snow photo is Author Kinetic. It has served me faithfully for more than a quarter of a century.

I am not one of those who live to ride, I ride to live. I only do it for my pleasure and recreation.

Motor boating

I was lucky to live not only near the forest but also close to the water. My adventure with motor boating began at the turn of the century from a small boat (3.40m long), oars and a combustion, four-stroke engine with a capacity of 2 HP. Current boat is a bit larger, quite classic, but adapted to planing shaped and the engine is a 10 HP Honda. "Fat Fish" won the family name competition. I have no place at the marina. I transport it every time to the launching site on a car trailer.

I have a license of a motorboat helmsman. I mostly swim on Lake Dąbskie, Odra, Regalica and Mędzyodrze. Thanks to the trailer, I sometimes visit other lakes (e.g. in the Drawskie Lakeland). My favorite place is Lake Lonely and the Flower Channel located in the Lower Oder Valley Landscape Park. Considering the proximity of the Odra and Regalica, the water here is surprisingly clear. Visibility reaches 2m and you can easily see numerous fish in their own environment. I heard there are even crayfish but personally, I saw them only at the bridge on Regalica.

Motorboating is an excellent way to relax and spend your free time. Unfortunately, only in the summer. Here, even on the hottest day, just add a little gas and it gets fresh and fun.

Photography

Ever since I found my parents' old camera, the Russian FED12, I started taking photos. I especially like black and white photography. My favorite subject was people, especially portraits.
Recently, I have been photographing more from a bird's eye view. I use a small drone for this.

I used to deal with not only photography, but also the rest, i.e. developing and processing photos.

I had my photographic darkroom. It was like a black hole. Time flew there completely differently. I was able to spend even several hours there.

Photography is a great field of art, it allows you to present the world from the photographer's perspective, freeze the moment and make it last forever...
